When the tale was reprinted in MARVEL TALES in the eighties, this little detail was corrected.Kidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07224781868125924337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614048939811145672.post-66626464504270815372010-06-20T10:20:13.851+01:002010-06-20T10:20:13.851+01:00Thanks, Doug. Nice to know it's not wasted effort though. :)The Cryptic Criticnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614048939811145672.post-10598844244969057472010-06-20T03:18:03.194+01:002010-06-20T03:18:03.194+01:00Hey, if giving you that Kreativ Blogger award was ...Hey, if giving you that Kreativ Blogger award was all it took to get you back into the reviews, we'd have done it long ago!

Enjoying this,

DougDoughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04248324005584963229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614048939811145672.post-68379064825620034112010-06-19T09:29:40.832+01:002010-06-19T09:29:40.832+01:00Hi, cerebus. My favourite moment is Flash Thompson's encounter with Dr Strange.

You're right about Ditko forgetting to draw Spider-Man's webbing. I like to think it was his shame at forgetting it that made him quit the strip - although, strangely enough, I've never heard anyone else put that explanation forward. Clearly these people need to learn to think outside the box.The Cryptic Criticnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8614048939811145672.post-7263108375824669562010-06-19T00:57:54.667+01:002010-06-19T00:57:54.667+01:00I've read most of the Lee/Ditko issues of Spid...I've read most of the Lee/Ditko issues of Spider-Man, but not this one. It sounds fantastic - I'll have to track down the relevant Essentials volume.

I do seem to remember reading "How Stan Lee And Steve Ditko Create Spider-Man!" in the ol' Spider-Man Comics Weekly. Doesn't it show Ditko working through the night to meet a deadline, but forgetting to ink in Spidey's webs? God knows how I remember this stuff :-)Simon B https://www.blogger.com/profile/07719757386457800087noreply@blogger.com
